We have an indoor area should runners need shelter. Please bring a change of footwear with you as we need to avoid mud inside the school block.

If you have spikes or studs bring them along but not compulsory.

Hots drinks and snacks will be on sale.

The course is on the school fields at the back of the school so when you have parked walk to the school entrance where you will see signs for registration.

Bring warm clothing and wet weather gear to change into.

Inter Area Primary Cross Country Race on Saturday 25th November. The event will take place at Ashton Park SchoolBlackmoors Lane, Bristol BS3 2JL (map showing school location:  )

There may also be a Park Run up at Ashton Court that morning so don’t get confused with signs for that, we are in the school grounds.

 Parking is very limited on the school site, therefore unless you know the area well, it is advisable to use parking at the nearby Ashton Court Estate (£1.20) using the Church Lodge Car Park (entrance on Ashton Road on the B3128 adjacent to The Ashton (formerly The Dovecote) Pub – 5 mins walk) or the Mansion Car Park (entrance via Kennel Lodge Road – 10 mins walk) Map showing Ashton Court parking:

NB The roads around the school are restricted to permit holders only and YOU WILL GET BOOKED!! 

Registration will be open between 9:00am - 9:45am and will be located on the field behind the main school buildings. There will be a desk signposted for South Bristol Runners.  At this desk, we will be handing your son/daughter their allocated number and a T-shirt (which they are able to keep after the event). There is a nominal £2 contribution for registration on the desk.

There will be runners from other local authorities there, so please look out for anything labelled ‘South Bristol!

Once your son/daughter has collected their number and T-shirt from me they should look at the course and do a warm-up using exercises that they may use at school/sports club.

In the past, a loud speaker has called runners to the start line, but you may not hear this. Therefore, please keep an eye on the clock for the following times (approx.) and take your son/daughter to the start line:

10:10am – Briefing for all runners

10.15am -  Year 5 Boys race

10.30am -  Year 5 Girls race

10.45am -  Year 6 Boys race

11.00am -  Year  6 Girls race

A presentation is scheduled for 11:20am for individual and team results.

Please ensure your son/daughter brings warm clothing to change into before and after the race. Spikes/studs are advisable if the ground is very soft, but not essential.
