Ashton SSP Aquasplash Swimming Festival

The Aquasplash Festival is a fantastic opportunity for pupils to take part in an inclusive swimming event designed for all levels of swimmers. Participants will take part in a variety of activities based on various swimming disciplines including, water polo, diving, synchronised swimming and life saving skills. The emphasis of the festival will be on participation rather than competition.

The festival is open to swimmers of all abilities, participants will be split into different groups to ensure they swim in a depth of pool suitable to them and that the activites are pitched at an appropriate level. The groupings will be as follows:

- Seals (Non/Weak Swimmers): Those that can swim a little or those that are still at the first stages of learning to swim.

- Sharks (Medium Swimmers): Those that can swim a width of the pool and have experience of treading water.

- Dolphins (Strong Swimmers): National Curriculum + (25m stress free and able to tread water for 30seconds)

Schools are invited to bring a maximum of 15 participants, ideally with an even split between the three groups.

Numbers are limited and entries will be taken on a first come first serve basis.
