Tag League Going Strong!

The Central Venue Tag League currently being played at Broadplain RFC on Mondays is proving to be a big hit!

12 primary school teams have entered the league this year and have really benefited from playing regularly.

Broadplain RFC have once again hosted and provided refs, which really gives a feeling of professionalsim and gives the players a taste of playing in a club environment.

There has been a lovely atmosphere during the sessions with children just enjoying the opportunity to play, whatever the weather.

Some teams who have new players or who are new to the league are learning and consolidating new skills, whilst others are now getting into competitive mode and impressing with their team play.

We are looking forward to a good standard of play at the next session on the 26th November.

It's also a bonus to have support from Dave Hilton & Simon Weaver RFU Development Officers and Craig Allen, an ex-pupil from Ashton Park who is doing some work experience with the SSP as part of his University Course.

Participating teams are:

Parson Street -Fiji

Ashton Vale - Italy

Luckwell - France

Waycroft - South Africa

St Bernadette - Australia

Victoria Park - Ireland

Knowle Park - Wales

Headley Park - Scotland

Bridge Learning Campus - England

Hotwells - New Zealand

St Mary Redcliffe - Argentina

Cheddar Grove - Samoa
