Bristol Girls Win McCains X-Country Challenge!!!

Our Representative Bristol Primary X Country teams did the city proud at the recent McCains Challenge, held at Ashton Court on 28th Oct.

15 boys and 15 girls selected from their performance in the Bristol Primary Schools X Country Competition held at Ashton Park School, made up the Bristol team and competed a tough course as part of a quality national event.

The runners also loved getting free drinks and foil blankets when they crossed the finish line!!

Our boys team came 4th overall and our girls team did absolutely brilliantly to come first, a fantastic achievement and great to win the trophy!!

Other competing authorities were BANES, N.Somerset, S. Glos and Mendip.

A big Thank You to Craig Allen, currently doing a student placement with us at Ashton who was team manager. Also a huge Thank You to all the teachers and parents who took the time to ensure that their teams and runners attended the qualifying event.
