SMSAs at Victoria Park have fun in the Playground!

SMSAs looked nervous as they started to play ‘Grandma’s Footsteps’ and ‘Please mister Crocodile’. They soon lost their inhibitions, started giggling and remembered games from their own childhood.

The games were part of the training session for the SMSAs to give them some new and refreshing ideas to inspire them to engage with pupils on the playground.

Other schools have reported fewer behaviour problems on the playground since the SMSAs have received training to give them the confidence and knowledge to lead activities and engage pupils in physical activity.

The next stage is to train playground leaders to assist them in the supervision of the playground and to purchase new equipment.

Any other schools who would like to receive Playground Training for SMSAs or leaders contact us to book a date and we can assist you in making the playground more of an active, fun place for pupils and SMSAs to be.
