Eat your heart out New Zealand, it's all happening here in South Bristol!!

The World Cup tag league organised by the Ashton Park SSP kicked off on Monday with 12 primary school teams showing off their rapidly improving skills in the first phase of the Tag Rugby league.

Teams got into the spirit of the event with snippets of different languages being heard from 'Allez La France' from St Paricks Primary to 'Iechyd da,' from Ashton Vale. We even got a rendition of the 'Haka' from New Oak aka the 'All Blacks.'

Our Knowle Park 'England team' not only excelled in their play on the pitch....but also off, and Ireland (Headley Park) proved that they are still a force to be reckoned with!!!

At the moment France and Ireland are unbeaten with Samoa (Luckwell) & the Italian Baa Baas not far behind.

The next phase is on Monday 7th November at Broadplain RFC 4 - 5.30pm under floodlights.
