'Olympic Values' shine at Primary Festival of Sport!

The sun shone all day for last Friday's Primary Festival of School Sport held at Action Indoor Sports Centre in Whitchurch. Over 220 yr 5/6 pupils enjoyed a day of 'having a go' at a variety of activities including martial arts, cycling, frisbee, yoga and bowls to name but a few.

The 7 Olympic values were introduced at the start of the day and pupils were asked to adopt them in all aspects of the day. Friendship, Respect, Equality, Exellence, Determination, Inspiration & Courage. Everyone was treated to a great opening with talent group 'Synchronicity' performing their latest dance as well as BTEC dance pupils from 'The Park' showing extracts of their hip hop exam work.

We finished the day off with a cross Bristol 1500m relay challenge and our winners from Luckwell School also got the fastest time across Bristol so well done to them! It was great to see so many pupils enjoying so many different sports. For more details about some of the activities contact us via the link.
