KS1 pupils get up to some 'Monkey Business!'

KS1 pupils from the Ashton Park cluster came together this week for a morning of dance in the secondary school hall to share some of the work they have been doing in curriculum time.

Pupils, teachers and parents enjoyed a variety of dances based around the theme of 'Creatures' as well as dances from year 7 secondary pupils, the G & T primary group and Southville 'Bollywood' dance, all whom are taking part in 'Stages' this weekend at the Colston Hall.

Deb Scroggs, the SSCO has supported the schools in this work by giving teachers themed dances to work on with their group in preparation for this showcase. We had Monkey business, Ugly bugs, Sleeping Lions.......Classes attended from Southville, Compass Point, Ashton Vale, Christchurch and Luckwell.

The festival ended with an opportunity for everyone to have a go at some rock and roll moves, parents included. A big 'Well Done'to everyone who took part!
