Change 4 Life Training

We are once again offering all schools the unique opportunity to access some FREE Change 4 Life training and resources.

This training will equip you with ideas and resources to start up any type of activity club at your school to target the least active children in your schools.

This is available to all schools even if you have already delivered a C4 Life club.

This programme has since been updated and refreshed. An opportunity to access a big bag of equipment to help run the club!

Target Audience: Teachers, HLTA’s, TA’s, Sports’ Coaches

There is a growing weight of evidence indicating that high quality Physical Activity interventions can significantly impact on the health & well-being of children who take part. This in turn can reflect positively on their academic achievement.

“Social and emotional competencies have been found to be a more significant determinant of academic attainment than IQ”. (Duckworth A & Seligman M 2005)

“Research evidence shows that education and health are closely linked so promoting the health and wellbeing of pupils and students within schools and colleges has the potential to improve their educational outcomes and their health and wellbeing outcomes”. (PHE 2014)

Change4Life Sports Clubs is an exciting programme that aims to engage less-active primary school children in physical activity and school sport.

Change4Life Sport Clubs take the principles and specific skills from a range of Olympic and Paralympic sports and place them in a fun, vibrant and exciting activity club giving young people the confidence and competence to take part in lifelong physical activity. Primary clubs capture the essence of the sport without directly delivering sport-specific content, and are grouped under five multi-sport themes:

Adventure | Creative | Combat | Flight | Target

This training will provide practical ideas for session delivery and useful resources. It will inform delegates on effective recruiting, planning and sustaining of a targeted out of hours physical activity club in your school.
