Physical Education for NQT's at KS1 & KS2

An essentially practical course aimed at enabling NQTs to teach PE with confidence

This course is designed for Primary Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs) and for those who wish to develop their confidence in teaching the range of activities across the new physical education curriculum. This essentially practical course aims to enable NQTs to deliver effective and safe High Quality PE lessons by engaging, including, challenging and supporting the whole child. Delegates will leave with exciting new ideas and resources to support their teaching. Whilst aimed primarily at NQT’s, this course is suitable for anyone wanting to improve their understanding and sharpen their practice. This course aims to enhance:

• Knowledge and understanding to develop physical literacy of all pupils

• Knowledge and understanding to deliver warming up activities for specific activities

• Confidence to teach progressive gymnastics activities

• Confidence to teach dance and make cross curricular links

• Knowledge and understanding to develop basic movement competence in games activities
