Once again (and hopefully bigger and better!) we are holding our Primary Festival of Sport 2011, supported by funding from the John Rutley fund. It is a great day and staff commented last year on what a lovely feel to it the event had. This event in particular targets year 5/6 pupils who may not generally take part regularly in sport. Pupils will get the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities, some different from the norm ie judo, cycling, golf, etc. Some activities will be all inclusive so ALL pupils are welcome. If you are bringing any pupils with disabilities, we will need to know their needs well in advance of the day.
Activites will be led and assisted by coaches, Students from Bristol University/UWE and young leaders.
Schools may bring a team/s of ideally 15 pupils. However in the past we have been fairly flexible with numbers depending on transport issues etc, so please contact us if you have any questions regarding numbers. The main thing is we know how many pupils to expect and although you can approximate when you book we will ask for definite numbers nearer to the date. Please say how many you expect to bring in the comment box, no need to put individual names in!
The event will have an Olympic Theme and teams will be allocated countries to represent in advance.
