What is Lloyds TSB National School Sport Week?
Delivered by the Youth Sport Trust, Lloyds TSB National School Sport Week is a week-long sporting celebration for primary and secondary schools across Britain. The 2011 event takes place from 27 June – 1 July 2011 and pupils will be invited to pledge to achieve a personal best in an Olympic or Paralympic Sport, individually, with their class, or with their club, and at every level and standard.
Registered schools are offered support to generate interest and sporting activities for pupils of all ages across a whole week. It not only helps fulfil school objectives for PE and Sport, but can be used across the curriculum to create excitement around the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and help young people live the values of the Games.
The 2010 event saw almost 14,000 schools and five million children taking part and enjoying sporting activities. Join in the fun, excitement and inspiration on the journey to London 2012 and register
