The course is Module 1 of the ASA Certificate for Teaching School Swimming (Key Stages 1 and 2). Once qualified the holder will be equipped to actively assist and/or support a more qualified teacher in the teaching of a range of core aquatic skills to a small group of similar ability within the context of a school swimming programme. For this course an attendance certificate as well as a set of TOPs cards will be issued.
The day will be a mixture of presentation, group work, discussion, practical demonstrations and delivery set in the classroom, in the pool, and with poolside teaching.
