Inclusive Primary Festival of Sport a massive hit!

The Inclusive Festival of Sport was resurrected this year following requests from our Primary Schools. Pupils who have not represented their school in any sporting activities over the year were invited to come along and try out new activities and make new friends.

What a wonderful day we had at Merchants Academy. The day started with a flag ceremony and taking the oath to promise to play fairly, do one's best, praise and encourage others and to be brave enough to try out new sports. The children joined in the energetic warm up led by enthusiastic dance leaders from the Dance Company Rise before their first chosen activity.

We were really fortunate to have the expertise of many providers who gave their time to provide a memorable sporting experience for the young people. Activities on offer included dance, basketball, boxing, judo, nordic walking, tri -golf, frisbee, tchouk ball and archery.

At the end of the day the children were tired but happy and full of enthusiasm to continue joining in sporting activities.

Wel done to all who took part!
