Ashton Park SSP '2012' Primary Gymnastics Finals
The Hartcliffe Gymnastics Centre was bulging at the seams on 16th March when over 200 budding gymnasts descended for the Ashton Park SSP primary gymnastics finals.
The teams have been practising set routines back in their schools for the last few months and the competition gave the opportunity for pupils of all abilities to compete at different levels. The competition was also linked to the SSP 2012 ‘Get Set’ programme so began with a team flag ceremony, an ‘Olympic’ Gymnastic oath recited by all pupils and a grand medal ceremony at the end.
Gymnasts competed individually and in teams.
