Olympic Central Venue Primary Netball League

Central Venue Primary Netball League improving standards
The Ashton Park School Netball Courts have been packed every Tuesday after school with teams battling it out in the SSP Central Venue Primary Netball League. We have had an overwhelming entry of 22 primary teams who have been split into the 2012 league and 2016 (developing league). The standard is really on the up and there is always a great atmosphere with lots of parents supporting.
Yr 12 & 13 pupils from Ashton are umpiring the leagues and teas and coffees (and doughnuts!) have been provided by members of the Ashton rugby team who are raising funds for their South African Tour…. they make a pretty good brew!!!
Headley Park Primary and Southville Primary came out as league champions and runners up and will represent the area in the County High 5 netball finals on 20th April, while Ashton Vale came out tops in the 2016 league with joint seconds going to St Bernadettes, Southville & New Oak.
